RENAULT 5 GT TURBO GRUPPO N PERFORMATA VSO

This car has been transformed from a road-going Renault into a racing car. The original documents are no longer available, but two technical passports for racing are present. The first technical passport has the number 27534, and the second technical passport also has the number 27534. When it could no longer compete in Group N due to expired homologation, the passport was duplicated for non-homologated cars under VSO (Vetture di Scaduta Omologazione - Vehicles with Expired Homologation). For the past two years, this vehicle has been able to compete in the historic racing group.
The car has completed 1000 km since the last engine rebuild.Engine displacement: 1400 cc140 horsepowerRuns on 100-octane gasoline with an additive.It is eligible to compete on tracks, hill climbs, and slaloms, but it cannot participate in rally championships because the road registration documents are not available. It could be re-homologated to make it road legal again.
The car has always competed in hill climbs, always driven by the pilot Stefano Cippiciani, who has achieved second and third place finishes in various categories. The engine has been modified by the renowned Renault specialist Lallo Giuliani. The modifications include engine balancing, new pistons, and a complete engine overhaul, while all the parts have remained original, only lightened and modified.
The body has been lightened in the chassis, and a welded and approved roll bar is present. The roll bar homologation is signed by Sparco and has the number 16376.
Pilot Cippiciani used to participate in two races per year and was the sole driver of the car. The car has never been crashed, hit, or involved in accidents, so there was no need to repair the chassis apart from the normal lightening modifications.
